Every post is a piece of the puzzle, how a “supportive” workplace unraveled into gaslighting, retaliation, and the fight that followed. I’m not naming names. I’m naming patterns.
I didn’t expect this. Not the views. Not the shares. Not the hundreds of comments from complete strangers saying they’ve been through the same thing. But here we are. Nearly 200,000 people have read my story. HR is not your friend. And people are finally starting to say it out loud.
This isn’t about going viral. It’s about being seen. Every time someone says “same thing happened to me,” that’s a crack in the system. A dent in the silence companies rely on to keep getting away with this. What started as me sharing my experience is becoming something bigger. A thread connecting all of us who were pushed out, punished, or ignored just for asking for help.
I’ve heard from nurses, teachers, tech workers, retail employees. People from every industry saying they did everything right. They filled out the paperwork. They went to therapy. They followed HR’s process. And still, they got labeled. Pushed out. Fired.
That’s what these posts are doing. They’re waking people up to the patterns. They’re showing what retaliation really looks like in 2025. Not loud. Not obvious. Just slow and quiet and strategic. It starts with a cold shoulder. Then a meeting. Then a PIP. Then a reason that wouldn’t have mattered if you were still useful.
I thought I was alone when this happened. I thought maybe I was overreacting. Now I know better. Now I know this story is bigger than mine. It’s happening everywhere. And it’s not just me saying it anymore.
The more we speak up, the harder it is to ignore. The more stories we share, the less power they have to isolate us. That’s why I’m going to keep posting. Keep writing. Keep fighting. Because this isn’t just about HR. It’s about accountability. It’s about reminding people that asking for help shouldn’t be a death sentence for your career.
