Every post is a piece of the puzzle — how a “supportive” workplace unraveled into gaslighting, retaliation, and the fight that followed. I’m not naming names. I’m naming patterns.
It’s been months since I first filed my discrimination and retaliation complaint with the Utah Antidiscrimination and Labor Division (UALD). And now, it’s finally moving forward.
I’ve received their official rebuttal — pages of carefully crafted excuses, reframed timelines, and selective memory. But I’ve also got the truth. And more importantly, I’ve got receipts.
This month, I’ll sit down with an investigator and share my side of the story. No lawyers this time. No one else to speak for me. Just me, my notes, and the weight of everything that’s happened.
To be honest? I’m nervous. But I’m also ready.
Because while they’re busy trying to clean up their tracks, I’ve kept mine messy and real — full of emails, medical records, and handwritten reminders of every time I was gaslit, dismissed, or told to “just hang in there.”
And for the record — I did hang in there. Right up until they found a convenient excuse to let me go.
Let me be clear:
This process is exhausting. It’s slow. It’s draining.
But it’s also necessary.
I didn’t come this far just to let them rewrite the ending.
This isn’t about revenge. It’s about accountability. It’s about asking the questions they hope no one will:
Why was I put on a PIP right after approved FMLA leave?
Why did HR ask for a therapist’s bio instead of supporting my accommodation?
Why was my termination built on issues that never mattered — until I used my rights?
I don’t know how this investigation will end. But I do know I’ll walk into it telling the truth — and that’s more than I can say for them.
If you’re following this journey, thank you.
Your support is the reason I keep going.
This story isn’t over yet.
